Good morning Local 5820 members!
Last night's General Membership Meeting had an important agenda item: the election for Local President! This comes right after Wendy Monsinger decided to retire after an impressive 33 years with the County!
Let's give a big round of applause to Mona Meanchoff, our new Local President! After accepting the nomination and assuming the role, this left the position of Chief Steward open. Mona has achieved amazing things in her previous role, such as completing a successful round of bargaining, boosting member and steward engagement, and initiating new committees to strengthen our union. We can't wait to see the incredible things she'll accomplish as President!
The subsequent election was a thrilling event as Stacy Beck stepped into the role of Chief Steward! With years of experience as a steward at the Barrie office, Stacy is one of our top WSIB experts. Her expertise, passion, and dedication are going to be a fantastic boost to our executive committee.
We are incredibly fortunate to have these ladies step into their positions, and we are thrilled about the future of Local 5820! Congratulations once again!
