On September 20th, people from across the country – and around the world – are uniting to draw the line — for People. For Peace. For the Planet.

March with Grassy Narrows grassroots people in Toronto for this massive mobilization! Grassy Narrows youth and community members are travelling nearly 2000 km to be here, carrying forward their powerful fight for justice, dignity, and a clean future after decades of mercury poisoning in their river system.Grassy Narrows people are at the heart of this day — their community has defended their forests, rivers, and way of life for decades in the face of mercury poisoning and industrial logging. Standing with them affirms that the fight for Indigenous rights and the protection of Grassy lands and waters is inseparable from the fight for a livable planet.

The march begins at 2pm at Sankofa Square (formerly Dundas Square). Bring your friends, your banners, and your solidarity.
