Evening 5820 Members

Earlier this evening we presented the County's offer of settlement to the membership in its entirety.  A vote to accept or reject the offer of settlement was held.  An overwhelming majority (90%) rejected the offer.

The Bargaining Committee has heard you loud and clear.  We will attempt to meet with the employer again in the near future.

While we work to bring you a better deal we need your support, the Strike Committee needs volunteers.  Help is needed in Administration, Communication, Finance and Picket Organizing.  Please see a Steward or Exec Member if interested in helping out.  More information to follow.

If you are interested in becoming a Picket Captain, training is next Thursday (August 15).  We also need help with Picket Sign Creation on August 17.  Please let us know if you are interested in either / both events.

We will continue to notify membership of news and upcoming meetings / events through e-mail.

Thank You For Your Support
